ILCA Labor Media Awards luncheon

This Friday in Washington DC, folks will be honored for their good works in labor reporting at the International Labor Communications Association annual media awards gathering. Our own freelance unit member, Steve Early, will be a featured speaker. Details here.
One of our Bay News Rising students, Amanda Rhoades, took first place in the photo essay category with her piece about the day of decision on DOMA and Proposition 8. The piece was titled, “Hundreds gather at City Hall to hear Supreme Court decision on gay marriage,” and was edited by another Bay News Rising alum, Joe Fitzgerald Rodriguez.
