Orange County Register Invests in Print Journalism

New owners of the Orange County Register are doing an industry about-face: they are hiring scads of journalists and raising subscriptions fees on the premise that readers want quality news reporting and are willing to pay for it.  Taking cues from advertisers like JC Penney and Kohl’s, which are shifting their focus from digital to print, management is acknowledging the value of newspaper beyond fish wrap.  For more, click here.
