Join Us at the Fresno Bee Guild Townhall
In early September, McClatchy Media announced company wide layoffs that slashed 40% of our newsroom, cutting seven unionized staff positions and one editor.
This means fewer eyes on Fresno City Hall, Fresno State, and other local institutions across the central San Joaquin Valley.
Come join the Fresno Bee Guild for a community discussion on how these cuts will impact local coverage. We need your help: Learn how you can support the local journalists that remain in our newsroom and community.
This is a guild-sponsored event and is not organized or connected to The Fresno Bee nor McClatchy.
This event is supported by Central Valley Journalism Collaborative.
