May 1 is International Workers’ Day

May1

Our tools and technologies have changed, many of our jobs have changed, and some of our most important employers have changed — or disappeared.

But our purpose hasn’t changed since our union was founded in 1933. We organize and fight for just treatment of all working people, for better opportunities, for better standards.

Today is May 1 — a day of solidarity among workers all over the world. We ask all our members to reach out today to one person who does not yet have the benefit of a union, tell him or her about the value of having a voice in the workplace, and offer to help that person exercise his or her right to organize.
