Twelve Guild units bargain with DFM in Denver; no agreement yet

July 7, 2016
DENVER — Representatives of the 12 Digital First Media bargaining units met jointly with DFM management in Denver this week in an effort to reach agreement on all Guild contracts.

Ground rules bar either the company or the union from publicly disclosing details of the talks before they are concluded. No overall agreements were reached. At the end of the two days, we agreed to recess the talks, and will reconvene in Denver on July 27.

The bargaining units include members at The Denver Post, Mercury News, East Bay Times, Monterey Herald, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Macomb Daily and The Daily Tribune, Kingston Daily Freeman, Pottstown Mercury, Norristown Times-Herald, The Delaware County Times, and The Trentonian.
