- Weingarten Rights: A U.S. Supreme Court case called NLRB vs. Weingarten affirmed a union worker’s right to have a union rep present in investigatory interviews that could lead to discipline. Employees must request union representation since employers do not have to notify you of your Weingarten rights. If management schedules a meeting with you, ask about the nature of the meeting and contact your Union steward or representative.
