Now is the time for students to apply for a Media Workers Guild Scholarship.

Applicants are eligible for up to $500. The deadline to apply is July 22, 2024. Click here to download the application.

Dependent family members of any Media Workers Guild unit member in good standing are eligible. (Contact staff@mediaworkers.org if you have questions about membership or eligibility.)

Graduating high school seniors entering college in the fall are given first preference. We will also consider current college undergraduates who have not previously applied for one of our grants, and who are dependent family members of any Media Workers Guild unit member, or student members of the Freelancers unit.

Selection criteria include: academic achievements, work experience, community involvement activities, educational plans, financial need and hardship consideration.

For more than a decade our scholarship program — started in memory of late Guild leader Russ Cain — has benefitted guild members and their families, largely thanks to generous contributions from our Retiree Unit members.
