• • The Local has hired a new Staff Rep, Hunter Paniagua, who started on March 7th.
  • Successful reclassification and settlement for misclassified PT worker in Fresno
  • Successful resolution to WFH stipend issue in Fresno
  • Pending workplace issues:
    • Chronicle ULP re: protected speech and Huffpost coverage
    • Maui Issue re: misclassified freelancer

c. Current and upcoming bargaining

• • Report on Sacramento wage reopener, agreement includes a merit pool (3%) for the first time in three years and additional earning capacity for advertising members
  • Report on priorities for Fresno Bee full contract and Modesto reopener
  • Update on East Bay Times and San Jose re-openers
  • Update on progress toward more reasonable negotiations at the San Francisco Chronicle (+successful social media campaign)
  • Daily Kos review of sample contract language

d. Mobilization
