Stewards play an integral part in all of our unions, and now is a great opportunity to become one.
The NewsGuild is hosting a series of steward trainings starting later this month. These are divided into modules held over six two-hour sessions from 6-8 p.m. PT every couple weeks. You don’t have to attend every session, but we strongly encourage members from all units to participate in as many as they can.
These trainings will cover all the important roles of a steward, from organizing to communication and representing your fellow members in disciplinary proceedings.
If you have any questions, please reach out to staff@mediaworkers.org.
