- Voluntary Recognition won for Daily Kos members, scope of unit is under dispute
- Two new organizing campaigns running underground + a third on the docket
- TNG is providing support for the largest of the campaigns. Marian Needham will provide support on applying for a SIF grant to cover partial costs of hiring a full time organizer.
- Support for open shops – limited funding available from TNG to support organizing drives in our open shops over the next four months
b. Grievance and Arbitration

- February: Maui News – unilateral move to new building without COVID precautions + HIOSH complaint re: inadequate air conditioning for inserters
- Feb/ March: East Bay Times – pending issue re: performance evaluations (company is trying to tie their pay to page views)
- March: Chronicle reclassified nine of our sales members to non-union positions.

2021 MEETING SCHEDULE
Local Executive Committee Meetings are held every third Saturday of the month from 10 am-noon at 433 Natoma St. in San Francisco. All members are encouraged to join and listen in. If you can’t make it in person, please call in by video or phone. The Local Representative Assembly and General Membership meet with the EC every other meeting. Agendas and updates will be posted here at mediaworkers.org.
